There are no words strong enough, kind enough, or loving enough to describe how truly blessed I am to be a part of this beautiful little girl's life. V is so bright and intelligent, just like her mama. She also has her daddy's playfulness and sense of humor, as well as a heart full of love, laughter, and sunshine. This page is dedicated to Veradis and to her spirit. It is a tribute to the love that I have for her. I am thankful to have known Yaradi for so long, and in her, have such a dear friend. I am truly honored and blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of her daughter's life. As we watch her learn and grow, we must continue to teach her and provide her with the tools she needs to take hold of her future. We must always remember that she is watching us, following our lead. There are so many things she still has to learn and experience in her life; all we can do is hope that she is prepared for everything life has to offer. Eventually she will have to make her own decisions. I know that because of the love she has from her parents, grandparents, godparents, friends and loved ones alike, she will be more than prepared to do so. As I sit here typing these words, my mind begins to tip-toe through the story of my own life. I am reminded of the things I have learned, experienced, the values I have, and the respect I have come to have for myself. Although I, too, still have a lot of living to do and a long life ahead me, I feel that the things I have experienced have made me a wiser, better person. I am far from perfect, but if I could write her a book to help guide her through life, these are the things I would most want her to remember: Don't settle for the stars if you can reach for the moon. Treat people with the same kindness and respect that you yourself would want to receive. You must take the bad along with good - learn from the hard times, but never dwell on them. Stay true to yourself and don't let anyone ever make you feel that you are not good enough for anything. Love and respect yourself first and foremost - stay true to yourself and your beliefs. And most important, remember to show love, give love, be loved, and when you find true love, never ever let it go. Veradis, you are a loving, beautiful child, and are the ray of sunshine that can brighten even my cloudiest days. Remeber that I love you more than I could ever express to you in words.
