The beating
In a state of amazement
I stopped to watch the dolphins swim
Those gentle creatures were surely a God-sent
Because my faith in life was lessening as time drifted on
My poor broken heart lay dieing on the floor
As my soul yearned to move forward
Outward appearances show no signs of my internal crying
I sit and watch as my shattered heart crumbles in my hand
I was ready to end it all
To forget the journey which had been given the name life
My emotions had hit an impassible wall
The very thing that kept me going had walked out for good
He left without a goodbye
I cried and screamed in pain
All he left me with was a few broken ribs and two black eyes
I was ready to give it up
But as I sit watching this miracle
My heart begins to again take shape
As a small tear down my face does trickle
I now realize that there is more to life than a fist and a broken heart
*This poem has nothing to do with real life...unlike my others...I got the idea after watching a horror flick*
